I hate to admit it, but I've been in town so much lately, that I am actually getting bored of shopping. I know, for those who know me, you are going to find it ridiculous. But for the time being, walking through the mall seems extremely unpleasant to me. At least for now.
I've had a nice break after MYEs. Days spent hanging out with lovely people, watching movies, laying on my couch dreaming, staring at the ceiling, reading romance novels, anything that wastes my day away. And of course, lots and lots of shopping. What can I say? I am just a girly girl at heart and nothing can change that. I'm trying to get back into the swing of things. Trying my best to pick up my pen, open my textbooks and start studying again. My first attempt starts tomorrow morning. And then I'll be meeting Gregory in the afternoon because I owe him coffee, but I'm so glad because it's been agessss since I saw him!
Today I went to visit Grandma, but my uncle said she was resting and refused to let me in. Disappointed, but I was glad to at least drop by the place I grew up in. The place is really getting old. But there is always a nostalgic atmosphere when I walk along that pavement. As I stroll past the same houses with the same dogs at the doors and the same gates with the same cars. It brings me back to when I was just a little girl, when that was the only world I knew of. I remember that every time I woke up in the morning I would hear the birds singing the same song (actually, they were just making bird noises, but let's just say that they were singing songs, shall we?), and grandma would say that they were calling at to her. What for, I have no clue. I still miss living there, even though it's been a decade.
Walking out from the cluster of houses, I was contemplating if I should walk to Serangoon Gardens to indulge in a cup of Frolick. But I somehow ended up taking a bus down to Bishan instead. I bought I pair of stockings ^^ (Okay, maybe I wasn't that bored of shopping. Whatever.) I wish Singapore was colder so we could wear stockings more often. I'd have a whole rainbow of stockings in my closet if it wasn't so hot here. Wouldn't that be nice? Having different coloured stockings to match every outfit. Chicccc babyyy chicc. This is getting me excited, I shall stop.
Anyway, break a leg! to all those taking their Chinese paper tomorrow. You have no idea how relieved I am that I took my paper last year. In fact, relieved is an understatement.
